Default KID'S INTERNET COMPUTER - HOW FAST,HOW MUCH MEM AND $?

We are putting a computer downstaris which will be used almost exclusivly for internet and email, much of the internet is online games played by my 7 year old (Webkins, Toontown, Nick Arcade).

Don't want to spend a fortune since, God only knows what they and their friends may accidentally do to it. What should I look for in the following"
-processor
-system memory
-hard drive
and any other features I need (other than an OS)

Default

Back a couple years, it was dependent mostly on the CPU and Memory, these days the GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) has about as much to do with speed in areas such as gaming. A good mix of CPU, Memory, GPU and FSB speed is desirable. And if playing say, an online game like Counter-Strike, a fast, low latency connection is vital to a good experience.

I am running an Abit MOBO w/800 mhz FSB, 2 gig of Corsair matched ULL memory, a P4, 3.2 ghz CPU, an ATI X800XL Pro graphics card with a Seagate 120 gig HDD primary and a WD 80 gig slave HDD.
