Could anyone help me in building my own PC?

I want a cheap and reliable desktop, and I figured I could get more power for my buck if I just built it myself. So I was looking for advice on what I should (or could) look to get for hardware if I wanted to spend, say $500 bucks. I have all the peripherals, I just need hardware for the PC itself.

You won't get a particularly fast running PC for £250. Also, does that budget include software - what operating system are you going to use to use and what software to do the web design? If that is your definite budget, I would probably look around at Tesco's, etc, for a good deal on a computer package
