Post DDR specification

My computer is quite old and at that time DDR 1 was the latest technology for RAM specification. But I think that I should have waited until they released DDR 2 RAM type. Whenever I try to upgrade my RAM space , DDR 1 RAM costs much costlier than DDR2. Do you use DDR 1 RAM or DDR 2 RAM in you computer.

Oh, I have no idea... How do you check if your RAM is DDR or not? I'm using a notebook computer so it's different from a desktop, right?

Not really most of the computers should have either DDR 1 or DDR 2 type of RAM's. RAM is essential for any computers whether it is desktop or notebook. If your notebook is relatively new then it should be of DDR 1 RAM specification.

Mine's two years old now. I have no idea how to check if it has DDR 1 or 2... :(
