Well.... I still have a gig, but I haven't upgraded since 2005. I've been too out of touch with the whole hardware scene I guess.

I have 3 systems in the house. 2 have 2gb and one have 1gb. I really get annoyed when using just half a gig of ram. Operating systems these days suck up more resources compared during 2005 where i only had 128mb of ram but runs like hell. Lol.

504 mb because you have an integrated video card. It sucks memory to your ram and use it for video.

I upgraded to 2 gig shortly after buying Minimoog V. I love that virtual synthesizer, but it's a CP hog.

I noticed a difference after upgrading - I had less CP problems while running VST instruments in Cubase.

I've had my computer for a couple of years. It started out with 512, but after 2 upgrades, I'm up to 2GB. I keep upgrading the RAM to stave off the need for a new computer until the next Windows OS comes out. I'm hoping to leapfrog Vista altogether.

That's my plan, too. I've been hearing some talk about Windows 7, but nothing really specific yet. I don't think that the beta version is available for download any more...

I hope that Windows 7 will run my software from XP. Does anybody have any info on that?
