Fooled by scareware

Have you ever fooled by a fake scareware software which says that you are having malwares just because to influence you to buy the software.

I recently came to know that the Rogue antivirus and anti spyware company has been banned in US for malpractices. Did anyone used these kind of softwares before.

I remember popups telling me that my computer's infected with a virus, but it's just an ad, like you said.

Just closed the damn popup.

nope ..not familiar with the company..but i am frequently seen pops up too..but ignore it..i cant remember the company ..
