Intel Pentium III was built with Pentium II microprocessor. It comes with a Synchronized Dynamic Random Access, allowing for a fast transfer of data between the microprocessor and memory.

Pentium 4 6x Series offers 2MB L2 Cache and clock speeds of 3 to 3.80 GHZ. It also provides flexibility for future applications that support both 32 bit and 64 bit computing.

The T5750 easily beats the T3200 on performance

add:
Andrew above me spotted the error, but is not entirely correct
i. the T3200 was launched later to the T5750, hence newer
ii. to attribute performance gain to higher L2 cache alone would be foolish
IPC or instructions per clock cycle is where the core 2 duo's excel

It seems to me that there's been a bit of a plateau in the last while with processors.

Do you think we're about to see a really noticeable rise in performance - Maybe as we get into 64 bit performance?

I think there is. It will be more faster if you change it to 64 bit.
