Laptop
Does anyone here fixed their laptop's hardware? I mean their disposable right? So I'm asking here if any of you guys tried breaking in and see what's inside without incapacitating it. I'm afraid I would so I need at least some inspiration here. Don't have money yet to send it to a technician.

Laptops are really that disposable. It is usually shipped back to the manufacturer and you are charged for the repairs or replacements especially outside warranty periods. My next best advice is to return it back to them when they would still honor the warranty, ditch it when you know it served you well.

RMA that sucker if you don't want to leave it as a decoration in your garage. People don't know about RMA'ing their bought products until its' too late.

I don't think I'd be trying to open up my laptop. Fortunately it hasn't tempted me to yet.
I've popped a few cards and a couple new RAM sticks in my desktop, with no horror stories.
Good luck with it. Do you have any experience fixing laptops?

I have opened my laptop lots of times. Fixed the keyboard, replaced the ram and hd and sometimes just to clean it inside. I sometimes bring my laptop outside so it builds dust inside.

I see some desktop technician repaing laptop's. They are replacing motherboards, memory, hard disk and processor. Maybe you can repair your laptop. Try to open it and work on it.

Yes, it possible to open, and repair your laptop, clean or replace any hardware piece, but with a lot of care, otherwise you will end up buying another one, due to some carelessness.

My laptop may go a whole week without getting moved from the dining room table to the coffee table. Plus I've only had it out of the house a few times, so it probably won't require as much maintenance as the ones that are constantly being moved outside, etc.
I think we've worn down the battery by not using it very much though.
