Default Cleaning your CPU Fans

How often do you clean your fans ? I clean them every three months or so because dust can really hinder the performance of your PC, this is very apparent on the Video card performance.

You should clean them often as it can lead to a dying fan and eventually Blue screens of death due to overheating.

Thanks for reminding me about that. I last cleaned mine when I was installing a new video card a few months ago.

I'm sure that we all want to avoid the blue screen of death.

I clean the inside of my entire case every three months with an air compressor in the garage- nothing better than an air compressor.

Simply bring the whole CPU out to the garage, and blast all the dust out... never had an issue.

Nice one. I often have these pesky problem once in a while. I just use a big paintbrush and its all good again. Rusting is another issue anyway.

I'd say about 3 times a year, when ever I can notice the dust build up on the fans. I just take it out back and blow it out with my air compressor.

Since my computer is located to non aircondition and not enclosed room, I do it twice a week to prevent large build up of dust and dirts.

I would love an air compressor handy since i have problems with portable devices that has dust inside the LCD panel when you switch casings. But anyway, Dusting can work wonders but make sure you don't bump the sata or IDE cables in doing so or else you'd have boot problems.

Perhaps this is the one we need?

I'm trying to find these on my local hardware store but got no luck.

That doesn't really work for cleaning out a case. You need to use an air compressor.
