A friend of mine bought a sound interface (Firebox, I think) and he got a free version of Cubase SE, which is lighter than mine, but still pretty powerful. So I can help him when he has questions, because I've been using the program longer than he has.

My Cubase came with a few usable distortion effects, one by Craig Anderton. What kind of guitar effects do you use, apocalypse?

I just bought a little 15 watt Marshal amp with a line out that I'm pretty happy with so far.

I have a g2.1u from zoom, crappy but i guess I don't mind that much. I too have a small crate amp in here and never got bored of the sounds, Its just in the playing not in the sounds these days.
