Default Best bang for the buck 2.1 speakers you know?

I would recommend an Altec Lansing ATP3 for the cheapest but good sound for an average PC. What do you recommend based on your experience?

Hey screed, what does the 2.1 refer to? Is the .1 a bass speaker?

I have Event Project Studio 6 biamped speakers that I really like. I use them for reference when I'm mixing production music.

My impression of Altec Lansing is that it's a fine brand.

Altec is a great brand. Nothing is better than a full range of sounds especially the bass part. Yes ricardo the .1 is the subwoofer.

Speaking of brands, I'm not sure if they get into computer speaker systems, but I've always thought that Bose products were over priced.

Has anybody here used them?
